Patient care comes first and at Olton Surgical we serve an important role assisting our surgeons.

Surgical assistants act as a First Assistant to the surgeon during surgical procedures. Mid-level allied healthcare practitioners who provide hemostasis, suturing, retracting, aid in exposure, and other intraoperative function to assist the surgeon in providing patients with safe surgical procedures. We look forward to providing you with specialized care. 

Kathyann has over 30 years in the operating room. Trained in the US Army as an operating room specialist. Her specialties as a surgical assistant include but not limited to general surgery, OB / GYN,  Plastic Reconstructive surgery, and ortho/spine. 

She is certified with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as a CSFA, and licensed through Texas State Board of Medical Examiners (TMB) as a License Surgical Assistant For the past 7 years. 

Kathyann has lived and worked in the Houston area for over thirty years, and also licensed with Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation as a Licensed Massage Therapist For the past 21 years.
